We had a wonderful time in Tibet. We have learned a lot about this unique destination because of the wonderful guide Degyi who is so knowledge and always available towards our tours. We stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel Lhasa, and we would never imagine a Tibet travel could be so nice and amazing without the help of Degyi.
Also, thanks a lot to our Tibetan driver Mr.Wongdun for his safe driving and a good sense of service along the way.
We shall return Tibet in the near future!

Day01 Arrival Chengdu Today you arrive in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province. Greeted and received by your local guide and escorted to your hotel in downtown Chengdu. The rest of day is at your own disposal. | ||
Day02 Chengdu - Butuo (B, L)
This morning you will be transferred to Chengdu airport and take flight to Xichang, the capital of Liangshan Yis Prefecture. Met with your local guide and driver and transferred to Butuo to attend the Torch Festival. Girls will show their nice dress, we can also see some activities like horse racing, sheep fighting. At night, people will gather around bonfires, singing, dancing and playing musical instruments. The Yis live in Butuo area have a cloak which has the shape of eagle wing.
Day03 Butuo - Puge (B, L)
In the morning revisit the festival at Butuo. On the way you can see the local market which gather the villagers with their nice dress. Visit a village if there are any activities. Later of the day you arrive in Puge and check in your hotel to enjoy hot spring.
Day04 Puge (B, L)
Drive to villages to join the various programs on the Torch Festival, the wrestling, horse racing, bull fighting etc. One more charm of the festival is the costumes of the Yi people, particularly the dress of the ladies. Return Puge later of the day, after dinner you will join the bonfire party in town.
Day05 Puge - Xichang (B, L)
Leave for Xichang. Visit Lushan Mountain, covered by green trees. The main peak of Lushan Mountain is Shamao Peak, which is 2317 meters above the sea level. Walking along the winding path in the mountain, you will see the green and thrifty pines. More than 10 ancient temples and pavilions are hiding in the forest. Some of them are Buddhist and some are Taoist. However, it is rare that these temples can coexist with each other for more than one thousand years.
Day06 Xichang (B, L)
A full day tour in Xichang to attend and watch several festival activities such as the ignition ceremony of the torch festival, wrestling, horse racing, goats fighting, singing, dancing and beauty contest. At night you will take part in the bonfire carnival and check out the spectacular big fireworks.
Day07 Depart Xichang (B)
Free in the morning until check out and transferred to airport for flight back Chengdu where you can catch your connecting flight to your next destination. End of the Torch Festival in Sichuan.
