How to Book China tour

We had a wonderful time in Tibet. We have learned a lot about this unique destination because of the wonderful guide Degyi who is so knowledge and always available towards our tours. We stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel Lhasa, and we would never imagine a Tibet travel could be so nice and amazing without the help of Degyi.

Also, thanks a lot to our Tibetan driver Mr.Wongdun for his safe driving and a good sense of service along the way.

We shall return Tibet in the near future!

We walk the Erdao Lake sequence in Munigou Park. The delightful multicolored series of limestone lakes rival Huanglong but remain relatively peaceful. Beautiful stands of Ligularia and Primula adorn the lakes each with a distinctive colour. Later of the day we back Songpan.

Day14 Songpan - Huanglong (B, L, D)Meconopsis,Northwestern Sichuan
Driven to Huanglong Valley and en route explore alpine plants at Xuebaoding massif. The road runs over the flanks of the 5000m Xuebaoding massif and gives us access to huge areas of alpine habitat. With fine weather there will be spectacular views over the mountains around, but even if the weather is less favourable we should be able to roam and come across lots of plant treasures, Meconopsis in profusion of course but if we're lucky Paraqualegias and Orchidacaea.

Day15 Huanglong (B, L, D)Huanglong National Park,NW Sichuan
Today we will enter Huanglong Park which encloses the spectacular limestone pools. There are always lots of people in the park but the great positive is that the woodlands remain ungrazed allowing species to flourish that would otherwise be hard pressed, particularly orchids such as Phaius delavayi and Cypripedium spp etc.

Day16 Huanglong - Wanglang (B, L, D)Wild Flower in NW Sichuan
This morning we will explore several orchids at Red Star Cliff Gorge and later of the day we shall drive to Wanglong Natural Reserve. Wanglang, whose purpose is to protect the giant panda and its habitat, and the 10 other nearby reserves in remote areas of northern Sichuan are critical to the continued survival of the giant panda.

Day17 Wanglang (B, L, D)Gentiana sutchuenensis,NW Sichuan
One day trip in Wanglong NR for plants hunting and seeing animals. Wanglang, with its subalpine forest of conifer and birch, is very scenic. Trees characteristic of these upper elevations include spruce, fir, juniper, and larch with an understory of rhododendron and arrow bamboo. At this elevation (10,000-11,000 feet), it will still be early spring. The rhododendron will be flowering, and if we are fortunate, we will encounter such early season wildflowers as Primula, Anemone, Gentiana and the beautiful buttercup Oxygraphis glacialis etc.

Day18 Wanglang - Chengdu (B, L, D)rhododendron,NW Sichuan
We leave in the morning for Chengdu and on the way we make a culture visit at Sanxingdui Museum. Sanxingdui is the name of an archaeological site and its deduced culture in China, now believed to be the site of an ancient Chinese city. The Sanxingdui Ruins, lying at Nanxing Town, Guanghan City in the north of the Chengdu plains, Sichuan is 8 kilometers to the west part of Guanghan proper. Sanxingdui archaeological site has gained much renown throughout the world as the center of a prehistoric culture with a sophisticated bronze technology. These people shared the Sichuan Basin with elephants and rhinoceros 3,500 years ago. The bronze masks, golden bird images and jade artifacts which they crafted and buried in the sacrificial pits of Sanxingdui are enigmatic and unique.
