We had a wonderful time in Tibet. We have learned a lot about this unique destination because of the wonderful guide Degyi who is so knowledge and always available towards our tours. We stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel Lhasa, and we would never imagine a Tibet travel could be so nice and amazing without the help of Degyi.

Also, thanks a lot to our Tibetan driver Mr.Wongdun for his safe driving and a good sense of service along the way.

We shall return Tibet in the near future!

Day01 Arrival Dali
Upon arrival Dali, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the city. Your guide will give you a briefing on the following days. Free at own leisure in Dali.


Day02  Dali - Liuku (B, L, D)Village in the alween Gorge,NW Yunnan Province
In the
morning you will meet with your guide and driver who will escort you to Liuku. It is a relaxed 4.5 hours to LiuKu, a city by the Salween River (Nujiang). Walk in the town of Liuku to meet with local people of different ethnic minority groups.


Day03 Lujiang - Gongshan (B, L, D)Three Parallel Rivers Area,NW Yunnan,China
Today you will head north for 240km along the Nujiang (Salween) to Gongshan, on the way you will visit beautiful gorge and local villages. The drive takes up to 6.5 hours. Overnight at a local hotel in Gongshan town


Day04 Trek to Qiqi (B, L, D)Trek at the mighty Gaoligong Shan in NW Yunnan
The trek begins today. You will walk 6 hours for about 17km, from Gongshan(1850m) to Qiqi (2400m). The trail will lead you up to the east slope of Mt. Gaoligong. On the way you will pass the Gazhu nature protection zone (2100m). Camping for the night

 
Day05 Trek at Mt.Gaoligong (B, L, D)Trek at the Salween River Gorge,NW Yunnan
Today you are still trekking in the mountain range of Gongligong. You will trek 6 hours for 18km from Qiqi (2400m) to Dongshaofang (3600m). On the way, you will need to cross several streams. Camping for the night

 
Day06 Trek at Mt.Gaoligong (B, L, D)Snow-cappted Mt.Gaoligong,NW Yunnan
The morning walking heads for Nanmowang Pass at 3980m, then trek down along the west slope of Mt. Gaoligong to Sandui (3,000m). It will take 5 hours for the walk today. Camping for the night

 
Day07 Trek to Drung River (B, L, D)Drung River Area is one of China's most secluded regions
Today you will trek to the area that is in China's westmost part and often far away from the mainstream culture influences. Thanks to the extreme remoteness and wildness in terms of geography and local culture, so far we still have the opportunity to obverse and see the real folk customs and traditional ways of life that is alive in this part of the world. You will trek about 6hrs to cover a distance of 16km from the camp to Bapo by the Single Dragon River (Drung River). On the way, you will come across several running streams and you will see several Suspend bridges and village some Drung minority villages. Overnight at local guesthouse

 
Day08 Drung River - Gongshan (B, L, D) Local Ethnic Minority at Drung River area
After soak in the villages, you will head back Gongshan. The road is winding in the river gorge, though much adventurous drive, you get breathtaking views. Enjoy free time upon arrival Gongshan.

 
Day09 Bingzhongluo - Dimaluo (B, L, D)Bingzhongluo in NW Yunnan
A morning half an hour drive will take you to Bingzhongluo, a beautiful Tibetan village set amidst in deep cut gorges and dense forests at the borders of China's Yunnan Province and Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR). You will admire the first bend of the Salween River (Chinese Nujiang). Then you will do some leisure hike to visit Puhua Lamaism Temple and Chongding Catholic church. Then drive to Dimaluo Tibetan village here you are ready for the upcoming hiking through the Biluo Snow Mountain.

 
Day10 Trek at Biluo Snow Mountain (B, L, D)Trek at Biluo Snow Mountain,NW Yunnan
Trek begins in the morning. You will get to Balagong Pasture via Baihanluo village. The walking is 6.5hrs with a moderate level. Camping for the night


 
Day11 Trek at Biluo Snow Mountain (B, L, D)
Trek 7.5 hours to Benggu Pasture. Today we will cross Selalaka pass down to the Sewalongba valley. Set up camp at Benggu Pasture. Camping for the night

 
Day12 Trek to Tsedro, drive to Dechen (B, L, D)Trek at Biluo Snow Mountain in NW Yunnan
Today you will have another 7 hour walking to Tsedro (Cizhong), a Tibetan village by the Mekong River. The village houses a 19th-century built Catholic Church, in which you could witness choruses and hymns being sung and a Bible transcribed in Tibetan. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to Dechen (3hrs drive).


 
Day13 Dechen - Shangri-la (B, L, D)Local People in NW Yunnan
Leave for Shangri-la along the Yangtze River and visit Dondrup Ling Monastery en route. Dondrup Ling Monastery is one of the most influential monasteries of Gelupa Tradition housed over 700 Buddhist monks during its peak time by the end of the 19th century. Overnight at hotel in Shangri-la (Gyalthang)

 
Day14 Depart Shangri-la (B)
Free and transfer to airport for departure flight (via Kunming). End of your journey.
