We had a wonderful time in Tibet. We have learned a lot about this unique destination because of the wonderful guide Degyi who is so knowledge and always available towards our tours. We stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel Lhasa, and we would never imagine a Tibet travel could be so nice and amazing without the help of Degyi.
Also, thanks a lot to our Tibetan driver Mr.Wongdun for his safe driving and a good sense of service along the way.
We shall return Tibet in the near future!

Day02 Chengdu - Kangding (B, L, D)
set off in the morning for Kangding. You will have a drive from the Chengdu plain to higher plateau of the Tibetan area. Drive 360km on paved road, into hill country and crossing through the Mt. Erlang tunnel, En-route you will stop to visit Luding Iron Bridge in Luding. Then you will reach Kangding, which is cradled in a narrow gorge along the raging Dzetuo River. The river's continual rumble can be heard in its alleyways where nomads from the west come to sell Tibetan herbal medicine, Khampa knives, traditional Tibetan garments, and the ever-popular yak butter tea. For centuries the town has held the status of "Gateway to Tibet". Enjoy a fine dinner mixed with Tibetan and Sichuan food.
Day03 Kangding - Danba (B, L, D)
Leave in the morning for Danba. Drive out of Kangding, you will start ascending up to Tsedo mountain which is over 4,000 meters/ 13.125 feet above sea level. The scenery on the pass is amazing. From here we go to Xinduqiao and Tagong (Lhagong) in the valley. We will visit the Lamasery Lhagong Monastery. If weather is good you could have chance to take a good photo to the holy mountain Yala from a higher terrace at Tagong. Then you will be driven to Danba along the Yak River. Transferred to Jiaju Tibetan Village in the Dadu Valley and enjoy your homestay with the Tibetans.
Day04 Danba - Rilong (B, L, D)
In the morning take sunrise at Jiaju Village. Jiaju, 10 kilometers away from the county city, is one of the rare places in China that has preserved complete Tibetan style residences. More than one hundred buildings keep the same architectural style with a complete and unique character of Jiarong (Gyarong) Tibetan residences. Under the blue sky, the Tibetan residences decorated in red, white and black are strewed at random but also in order from the bottom to the middle slope of the valley. Take photos at Suopo Village. They were made of clay and block and look fine from outside with solid thick walls. In the afternoon you will be driven to Rilong, a small Tibetan town rightly below the Siguniang Shan.
Day05 Trek to Changping Valley (B, L, D)
Met with trek crew and commence the walking into Changping Valley. Changping Valley is 36 km in length and you will have the first hours easy walking to Lama Temple from where you will trek to Lianghekou which is located in the depth of Changping Valley. Far in the west, a weird-shaped snow-capped mountain of which the slope is between 70-80 degrees is standing there. Local residents call it "the peak of god mountains". You are reaching Muluozi after Lianghekou. Camping for the night
Day06 Trek in Changping Valley (B, L, D)
You will have a leisure walk to the bottom end of Changping Valley. The road gradually narrows down to a planked footway. Walking through swamps and woods, you will reach Chazigou (3800m/12,470 feet) the rear end of the valley. Camping for the night
Day07 Trek to Bipeng Gou (B, L, D)
Setting off early along a small path near a waterfall in Chazikou, with no more than 300m of plumb ascending, walking through Firry Woodland, you reach a Yakou (narrow mountain pass), 4644m above sea level, straddling the borderline of Xiaojin County and Lixian County. Crossing over Pass (Yakou in Chinese) is difficult. The way down the mountain is even harsher. On the downhill, at about 4200m, there is a sidestep-like area and an even terrace 10m lower. Right there the snow slope becomes sharply into 70 degrees, from where you can see Bipeng Gou clearly. Rounding over a bluff, down a descent, you will get to the Sankeshu Camp in Bipeng Gou. Camping for the night
Day08 Trek to Shang Hai Zi, driven to Taoping (B, L, D)
Bipeng Gou is a nice place with primitive forests, springs, streams, waterfalls and snowy peaks. In short distance, the colorful trees is a natural palette indeed; afar, the solidly concretionary glaciers are shiny. This morning you will have the last hours walking. You will pass by White Dragon Waterfall and Droma Lake before getting to Shang Hai Zi, the end of the trek. Driven to Taoping Qiang Village and stay at local hostel in the village.
Day09 Taoping - Chengdu (B, L, D)
Morning visit Taoping Village, home to the Qiang ethnic group. The village is known as the "Ancient Oriental Fortress" for its aged stone houses and the two 9-storey hexahedral watchtowers of 30m high on the slope, which amazingly survived weather erosion, wars and frequent earthquakes for centuries. After the visit you will be driven to Chengdu. On the way you will visit Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later in the afternoon you arrive in Chengdu and enjoy a savory hotpot dinner.
